Synopsis
A talk by Tom Dale at Arnolfini on 6th March 2013
Details
Dale's work is absurd, witty and diverse. Often referring to his sculptures as 'Preposterous' they make explicit the inherent contradictions of the grand gesture. His art has been inspired by Evel Knievel, twisting stunt ramps emblazoned with stars and stripes. Recent work, an installation at Ham House, traces the tangled relationship between patronage and democracy. His talk will include details of his current public art commission for Bristol.
Supported by Bristol City Council.
