Chloe Brooks, Balancing a Leaf, 5th September - 5th October 2008 (sculpture)
Balancing a Leaf took inspiration from the architectural surroundings, creating a small scale replica of the bridge inside the cabin. The physical intervention within The North Cabin seems familiar, yet at the same time unknown. The piece deprived the structures of their original use values, while still referring to them directly. An uncertainty was created that demanded a closer re-evaluation of both the work and its situation.
