Details
Thousands of people were involved in the planning and building of Cabot Circus. To achieve the development, the workforce had to be drawn from right across Europe and beyond. There were fifty-nine different nationalities working on site, which represented a global community.
In an effort to reflect the global nature of the workforce Neville Gabie decided to use food, which often uniquely defines individual heritage to create a recipe book. The public was encouraged to submit their ideal recipe, once a month one person was selected, and chefs from across Bristol restaurants then prepared their recipe. The resulting meal was then served to the chosen person and their selected group of your friends on the building site during their lunch break.
