'Our Dream Today, Your Dream Tomorrow' project launch
A temporary pavilion built by local young people to host live music, dance, a neighbourhood workout and a community bake, which grew from conversations with local people to make a place where more than one thing at a time can happen, a place to be and a place to do. Part of the larger Lockleaze capital environmental improvement project for Gainsborough Square and the first component of ‘Open Fold’, an area wide public art programme for Lockleaze devised by Paul O’Neill.

New Future Perfect Website
Future Perfect is an ambitious public art programme for Hengrove in south Bristol, commissioned by Bristol City Council and curated by Theresa Bergne (Field Art Projects) and Jes Fernie. The programme consists of three commissions by international artists Martino Gamper, Nils Norman and David Thorpe. All three artists have had extensive, fruitful conversations with local people, groups and schools in Hengrove throughout the process of developing their work.

Laws of Motion in a Cartoon Landscape
Contemporary artist Andy Holden uses the laws of physics as they appear in cartoons to help us devise a possible way of understanding the landscape “after the end of art history… a landscape where it seems like anything might be possible, but not everything is, there are rules that begin to emerge as we make observations.” This performance lecture formed the basis of his exhibition with the same name that Holden went on to develop as part of his Stanley Picker Fellowship in 2012/2013

Artist Jeremy Hutchison, with design writer Emily King and curator Emily Pethick, Director of the Showroom London, discuss the role of the user and social process that evolves through the design process. Jeremy Hutchison is currently working on a commission for Bristol Haematology and Oncology Centre, managed by Willis Newson.

Nils Norman: Theatre Curtain for 'Future Perfect'
Work begins this month on an exciting new art commission for Hengrove and Whitchurch by international artist Nils Norman. The artist will start work on designs for a theatre curtain for Hengrove Community Centre on Fortfield Road, which will document key historic events and local stories, as suggested by residents.
